CATTERICK Golf Club held their Junior Presentation Night at the start of the month,
The evening was arranged by the junior liaison officer Paul Davies and well attended by many parents, grandparents and members of the club.
These included the club’s newly appointed Chairman Chris Carveth and Captain Andrew Ridgeway who presented the various trophies.
In his opening address the chairman reiterated the importance of junior golf not only at Catterick but everywhere and thanked Paul for taking the juniors under his ”wing”.
Mr Davies in his turn thanked the professional Andrew Marshall, his wife Kim and Bruce McCauley for organising coaching and competitions throughout the year.
At one time during the summer holidays they had organised a competition every day over a six week period.
There were many different winners of trophies, however the top awards of the evening went to Glen Lent, who was named Most Improved Player.
Conner Smith claimed the Ghurka Trophy and Joe Inglis the Clive Wood Trophy, while Jake Davies was named Order of Merit and Junior Champion.
