A MASTERCLASS display from Thirsk bowler Barry Petty catapulted him into the history books on Saturday, as he became only the seventh bowler to take eight wickets in League's history.
Batting first against Dunnington in the Premier Division, Thirsk made 178-5 through Liam McKendry (48), Ryan McKendry (37no) and Des Wyrill (31).
In reply Dunnington were ripped apart by Petty, who scalped an eye-watering 8-47 in an unbroken 22-over spell as Duninngton were bowled out for 127.
Meanwhile SESSAY bowler Dave Johnson made 58 as his side bagged a 26-run success at Acomb.
Sessay posted 177-7 through Mark Wilkie (35) and Nick Thorne (26), Johnson then scooping 4-24 alongside Matt Till (3-52) to dismiss Acomb for 151.
