GARY Dunn stormed to victory for the Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers at the popular Rainton 10km on Sunday.
On a fine morning for running, 25 members joined just under 300 for the race over a mainly flat course.
Gary's time was 32.34, perhaps a little slower than he might have hoped for as he still has the after- effects of the Edinburgh Marathon in his legs.
He was ably supported by Richard Hall, fifth in 36.15, and Cameron Choules, seventh in 36.28, and those three carried off the men's team prize.
Richard also took first prize in the O-40 category.
