THIRSK dropped from second to third in the Premier Division on Saturday after being held to a draw by bottom-placed Malton & Old Malton.
Thirsk were bowled out for 171 in the 49th over with Des Wyrill making 43, Gary Bolton 29 and Sean Holmse 27, and Mike Linsley claimed 4-30 before leading his side to a draw at 136-8.
Thirsk skipper Dave Towse took 5-35 off 23 overs but, in the absence of Barry Petty, lacked penetrative support.
SESSAY had a tough time against Dunnington’s West Indian star Collis King, who notched 115 to help his side rack up 240-4.
Sessay’s Mark Wilkie responded with 43 in reply which meant his team snatched a draw at 151-9 against an economical display from Rob Chipps (4-19).
