A SEVEN-WICKET defeat was the order of the day at St George's Road, as Harrogate crashed out to Hull & YPI in the Yorkshire ECB League.
Batting first, 'Gate racked up 203 before they were bowled out, Nick Lindley fashioning 57, but Hull overhauled in 46.2 overs through Tim Appleyard (78) and Tim Dimaline (41).

Meanwhile in the Aire Wharfe League top flight, BILTON were held to a draw at home to Guiseley who made 209-6.

Bilton hit back with 180-7 including good knocks from Andy Walker (52) and Shane Murdoch (49no).

BECKWITHSHAW failed to make up ground on a defeat for Rawdon, just missing out on a win against Green Lane having made four from the last over when they needed seven.

Lane set 221-6, to which Beckwithshaw responded with 219-7 after Alex Malcolm made 68.

COLLINGHAM faced a tense clash with fellow strugglers Pool, restricting them to 187 before falling just short at 185.
Brian Leigh made 35 and Toby Jacklin 30.

In Division Two, BARDSEY had to make do with a losing draw against Olicanian, Gary Clayton topscoring with 52 in Bardsey's 147-9 innings after Olicanian racked up 215-9.

Leaders KNARESBOROUGH were run close by Silsden, who posted 275-6, but Dale Tormey (71) and skipper Adam Pryor (78no) saw the Aspin Lane side emerge with some points at 205-9.

Over in the York Senior League Premier Division, THIRSK dropped from second to third after draw against Malton and Old Malton.

Des Wyrill (43) helped Thirsk to 171, but despite five wickets for skipper Dave Towse (5-35) Malton hung on at 136-8.

SESSAY also had to make do with a draw at 151-9 after Dunnington posted 240-4.

In Division One, STUDLEY ROYAL were beaten by Bridlington, all out for 99 despite 42 from Steve Walmsley, to which Brid' responded with 101-4.

Division Two leaders RIPON were also undone by Dringhouses, bowling them out for 150 after Richard Hooks bagged 6-47 but could only manage 100 in reply.

TADCASTER MAGNET posted 166 all out, but Sewerby did better at 167-9.

In Division Three, THORP ARCH AND BOSTON SPA took the points against Easingwold 2nds, making 153 including 44 from Andy Hawkswell before restricting their rivals to 83 all out.

SPOFFORTH cruised to a mammoth ten-wicket win over SHADWELL in the Wetherby League top flight, Simon Old bagging 3-35 to peg Shaddy back to 130-8.

Nick Robinson (65no) and Jack Joslin (54no) steered Spoff' home at 132-0.

SICKLINGHALL beat Oulton by six wickets, while WETHERBY beat SCARCROFT after Pete Sweeney netted 6-55.

In the Nidderdale League, MASHAM beat strugglers KIRKBY MALZEARD by eight wickets while NEWBY HALL beat DACRE BANKS.
