Two very special horses will be clip clopping through Harrogate town centre on Saturday to mark World Autism Awareness Day.
It isn’t an April Fool as Pedra and Black Jack, who belong to Kearby-based Autism Angels, will be raising awareness of the charity which supports children and their families.
Sarah Shearman, founder of the charity, said: “We work with horses, which support our learning methods, this is known as Equine Facilitated Learning.
“The horses mirror emotions and behaviours and these can then be worked through together with the child and whole family.”
People can walk with the ponies over 3.4 miles, starting at The Academy in Oakdale Place at 11am or 1.4 miles from the Valley Gardens Cafe at 11.30am. Phone 0113 387 3064 to book.
