Older people from across Hambleton and Richmondshire are being urged to band together and have a say about local issues.

The districts Over 50s Forum has joined forces with the Hambleton and Richmondshire Strategic Partnership to hold a roadshow at the end of this month.

The roadshow will look at how local organisations can help resolve local problems.

There will be workshops on transport, housing, benefits, leisure, health, community safety, isolation and involvement at the event which will be held on June 27.

“We are particularly keen to see representatives of older persons groups, clubs and societies from across the area,” said Forum Secretary, Paul Fisher.

“We think there is room for these groups to help each other and contribute to what local older people want from local services.”

The workshop takes place at Bedale Hall, Bedale.

The day will run from 10am until 12.30pm with a light lunch provided.
