Three more Hambleton youngsters have passed their apprenticeships with flying colours gaining a new qualification and a new job.

They have completed the district council’s six month scheme, run in conjunction with Nordic Pioneer of Darlington, and have now been offered full time jobs with the authority.

Mathew Fox and Michael Kemp of Northallerton, along with Luke Burrill from Shildon have been working with the Waste and Street Scene team.

“The group has worked hard over the past six months,” said Leader Hambleton District Council, Councillor Neville Huxtable.

“They are a credit to our workforce and as a result they are being retained on a one year fixed term contract at our central depot in Northallerton.”

David Smith, Development Director from Nordic Pioneer said: “Hambleton continues to show it’s commitment to helping young unemployed people within its community.”
