Diners are being urged to ‘look before they book’ this Christmas
District Council environmental health officers want them to check The ratings system before they buy.
Launched across Hambleton and Richmondshire in September, it aims to help consumers choose where to eat out or shop for food.
Businesses are rated from 0 the worst, to 5, following a food safety officer inspection..
“More than 850 businesses are members of the scheme,” said Richmondshire spokesperson, Coun Ken Lambert.
