A Harrogate jewellers has
designed a one of a kind
necklace worth £12,000 which they have donated to Bliss baby care charity.
Christopher Stoner’s has designed the unique heart shaped pendant which is set with over 150 rare pink diamonds.
Christopher Stoner said: “My team and I have put a great deal of thought behind the design of this individual heart shaped pink pendant.
“We wanted it to express just how special this charity truly is and how many babies and families in the UK it touches.”
This £12,000 pendant will be the main prize at a fundraising event held on Saturday, October 18 at the Crown Hotel in aid of Bliss – the special care baby charity.
Event organiser, Alex Vere, said: “It really is the most beautiful necklace I think I have ever seen.
“It is just incredible the generosity of local businesses.
“We have over 120 items donated for an auction.”
The necklace will be won in a heads and tails game.
A coin will be flipped until there is just one person left standing who will take home the prize.
The ‘Bond For Bliss’ event will be hosted by a committee of Harrogate based mothers, who are dedicated to raising funds for the charity which provides care and support for all premature and sick babies and their families.
“It is beyond words the help that Bliss does,” said Mrs Vere who aims to raise £38,000 with the event.
£25,000 will go to Bliss’s research into nutrition for premature babies and £13,000 will go towards Harrogate Hospital’s special baby care unit to go towards buying a new ventilator.
This is the latest charity project for the bespoke jewellery specialist whose commitment to putting something back into its local communities includes raising over £20,000 for local charities including Marie Curie and Testicular Cancer Research at St James’s Hospital.
