Harrogate’s Hotel du Vin is taking a step forward with the arrival of its new general manager and head chef - and the launch of its new summer Al Fresco menu.
New manager Steven Hodgkinson recently joined head chef David Hilditch and more than 50 guests at the hotel on a sunny evening to sample the new food and drink selection.
New head chef David Hilditch has worked as sous chef at Hotel du Vin Harrogate for the last year having previously worked across the Malmaison Group alongside the group executive chef where he advised on pastry techniques and menu development.
The Al Fresco menu is tailored for summer tastes, promising fresh, seasonal ingredients with flavourful interpretations of bistro classics.
Featured dishes include Normandy chicken cobb salad, grilled globe artichoke with buffalo mozzarella and preserved lemons and a traditional rhubarb fool with ginger crumble biscuits.
David said: “I am really looking forward to working with the new team at Harrogate.
“Our restyled menu takes us back to our bistro roots. We are passionate about accessible good food and we encourage local people to come in and let us surprise them either indoors or in our newly-refurbished sunny courtyard.”
