Teachers and pupils are set to return back to school after what could have been for many their last ever six-week summer holiday.
The possible change came last month when Education Secretary Michael Gove announced all schools would get the power to set their own term dates.
The change is included in the Government’s deregulation bill and removes the role of local authorities in drawing up schdules, instead leaving it to school leaders and governors.
We want to know: should schools’ summer holidays be shorter? Vote now.
