STUDENTS at Northallerton College had a taster day for Year 11 students including students from Bedale High School and St Francis Xavier School in Richmond.

Pupils experienced a full day of opportunities to help them select their favourite subjects which will shape their future studies.

Spending a day at the college also gave them a chance to try out the facilities and to meet students and staff.

Assistant Principal Bronia Harris said: “The day was all about bridging the gap between GCSE and A Levels.

“It’s important pupils make the right choice for their own futures and we want to help them do that through hands-on experience.”

Bedale High School student James Flather, 16, said: “The day has been really useful. It’s also been really good to have a look round the college.”
