Students at St John Fisher Catholic High School in Harrogate have received their GCSE results.

This has been another excellent year for students at St. John Fisher with 83 per cent of Year 11 achieving 5 or more GCSEs at C and above including maths and English.

Mr Pritchard, headteacher said “all subjects have done really well this year with the core subjects of English maths and science achieving 90 per cent A* to C. This is the culmination of a lot of hard work from students, and also the support of parents. I would also like to thank the staff at the school for their hard work and dedication.”

With many schools seeing a slight fall, St. John Fisher are particularly pleased that they have achieved a high standard once again. The attainment measure is impressive, but the expected progress students make is also above 90 per cent. Mr Pritchard went on to say, “We are looking forward to welcoming students back into the Associated 6th Form in a couple of weeks”.
