The hard work of the region’s band of postmen and women was recognised last week with a visit from local dignitaries.
Hambleton District Council’s chairman Councillor John Noone and leader of the council Councillor Mark Robson made a visit to Northallerton’s Royal Mail delivery office to pass on their personal Christmas wishes at the busiest time of year.
They were shown around the sorting office by delivery office manager Graeme Pettigrew and introduced to staff who are already working hard sorting and delivering mail in the Northallerton area for the festive season.
Councillor Noone said: “There is a huge amount of effort and dedication that goes into delivering a first class Christmas at Royal Mail’s busiest time of year. We wish the team all the best for the busy festive period.”
