There is still chance to enter the annual charity clay pigeon shoot, held at Azerley estate near Grewelthorpe.

Teams of four guns are still welcome to enter the competition, set to take place on Sunday, April 15 from 9am at Mill Farm, Eight Acre Lane, Azerley.

The day supports Follifoot Park Disabled Riders Group and The Child Development Centre Harrogate Hospital, and last year’s event raised £12,000 for the two charities.

A professional air rifle range, competitions and instructors, refreshments including a hog roast, BBQ and bar, and “have a go” archery will also be on offer on the day, as well as face painting and balloons for children.

The 2012 competition will comprise six 80 bird flushes, giving each team 480 clays, as well as a pool shoot competition. Entry costs £170 for a team of four, with cash prizes of up to £300 for the winners.

Entries are open until April 12. For further information and registration forms contact Kevin Birch on 07795 682828 or kevinbirch@btinternet.com.
