Guests at the Harrogate and District Estate Agents president’s dinner have raised more than £1,500 for the president’s nominated charity, Open Country.
President Tony Wright, partner and head of residential at Carter Jonas presided over a successful 16th annual dinner at the Majestic Hotel in Harrogate, which was attended by more than 100 guests.
Prizes for the raffle were donated by Ackrill Newspapers, Yorkshire Life, Hopkinsons estate agents and property consultancy Carter Jonas.
Mr Wright said: “I am delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile charity.
“We have the huge privilege of living in a beautiful county that should be accessible to each and every one of us.”
David Shaftoe, project officer at Open Country, said: “Open Country is a Harrogate-based organisation that helps people with disabilities to access the countryside through a variety of activities and the provision of information, training and advice. “Access to the countryside is a right not a privilege and we provide accessible transport and teams of trained volunteers to offer assistance.
“Support such as this by the Harrogate and District Estate Agents enables us to carry on providing such valuable services to those in need.”
