Masham’s Black Sheep brewery has been presented with a London Marathon medal after the company sponsored a tireless charity fundraiser for the race.
Derek Brown ran the 26 mile course dressed as a black sheep and carrying a 50lb rucksack, to raise money for Get Kids Going, a charity that helps disabled children.
It was Derek’s 11th time around the London course, and he has presented his most recent medal to the brewery in appreciation of their support for his fundraising efforts.
His next challenge will be a 1,853 mile walk in July 2013, which will take him from his home in Leeds to Land’s End to John O’Groats and back to Leeds.
The walk will support Hearing Dogs for the Deaf, Get kids Going, Children with Cancer and the Variety Club. More information is available at
