A garden that has been descibed as a “haven of perennial flowers and exceptional phloxes” and which received a Daily Mail Garden of the Year Award is being opened to the public.

The open garden day is in aid of the fund aimed at restoring and refurbishing The Old Magnesia Well Pump Room in the Valley Gardens and will be attended by the Mayor of the Borough of Harrogate, Coun Robert Windass and the Mayoress Mrs Windass.

The open garden, belonging to Pat Clarke, is at Mews Cottage, 1a Brunswick Drive, Harrogate, HG1 2PZ, on Sunday August 19, from 2pm-5pm. Entrance is £5 (at the door) and includes homemade teas.
