Festival announced
The Limetree Festival at Grewelthorpe returns for a fourth year next month.
The three day event which runs from Friday, August 26 to Sunday, August 28 takes place at Limetree Farm in the village.
Founders of the festival, Sean and Karen Birdsall said there was a strong environmental message to the event.
“As the organisers of this event we committed to our environmental mission statement and our key message “leave only footprints”.
“As a Social Enterprise Community Interest Company, we work hard to find sustainable solutions of working to protect the environment and the local community.
“The Limetree Festival is fast becoming the most diverse, alternative and independent festival in the North of England.
“The audience will be entertained by a mixture of established Yorkshire musicians and complemented by new breaking talent providing the highest quality music covering northern soul indie, electro house and everything in between.”
There will be two stages of music, comedy, arts and film with confirmed acts including Carleen Anderson and the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, Krystle Warren and Celt Islam.
