A SCARECROW based on a character from the movie Toy Story has been snatched from a garden in Bedale.
North Yorkshire Police is appealing for information about the theft, which happened in Well, near Bedale, on the night of Sunday, August 30.

They say the scarecrow, created for the Well Scarecrow Festival, is a "very distinctive" replica of Toy Story character Woody.

Anyone who knows where Woody is, or has any information that could help police with their enquiries, should contact PC Paul Fricker at Bedale Police Station on 0845 60 60 24 7.

Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
