A series of seminars and workshops teaching small businesses how to write their own press releases and promote themselves in the media is to be held in Harrogate.
The Harrogate district currently has one of the highest concentrations of small businesses in Yorkshire, with 86 per cent of businesses having between one and ten employees*.

The seminars and courses cover such topics as writing effective press releases, understanding how a newsroom works and building up good media contacts.

Organiser, Rebecca Parsley explained: "Most small businesses don't have a PR budget and can't afford a professional agency, but most of them are aware that they need to raise their profiles – they just don't know how to go about it. That's where we come in."

The first seminar "How to Tell and Sell Your Business Story - a guide to doing your own PR" takes place on Tuesday March 23 from 8am – 10am at the Cairn Hotel, Harrogate.

The cost is £35 per person. To book your place or find out more details, contact Rebecca Parsley on 01423 529037 or 07702 213149, email rebecca@prpartners.co.uk.
