On June 14, a group of 27 visited Alnwick to explore the medieval town, castle and gardens. There were acres of fascinating plants and water sculptures to see in the gardens at Alnwick. We enjoyed seeing the ornamental garden, rose garden, bamboo labyrinth, serpent garden, poison garden, cherry orchard, treehouse and the woodland walk.

A bus with its live commentary feature was available to take us sightseeing around the historic market town of Alnwick, where we were able to view the wonderful castle, the Cheviot hills, the town centre and many other interesting parts. A memorable day was enjoyed by all. On July 2, we will be visiting a garden in Littlethorpe followed by supper.
