NEW accident and emergency facilities at the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton have been officially opened by Richmond MP William Hague.
The department has undergone a major rebuild to improve the facilities for patients, in particular children and their families.

Samit Mitra, lead accident and emergency consultant, said: "We were delighted Mr Hague officially opened our new facilities. The rebuild has brought our department into the 21st century and we now have to a modern and up-to-date new environment for children in accident and emergency."
